I'm not sure if I trust the CUO Web Client

I'm not sure I trust the CUO web client and I'm curious if it's ever going to be safe to use:
"The ClassicUO Web Client is the closed source web-based version of the ClassicUO Ultima Online client"

Does Broadsword have access to the code and can guarantee this?
Or are we on a 'trust me bro' relationship with CUO?
I'm surprised we're not getting the standalone client???

At least with the standard CUO client it was 'open-source' so people could thumb through the code PLUS it couldn't be changed without an update and being able to see that updated code, but, since the web version is closed source and it's not hosted by Broadsword, all it would take is one line of code changed (you would never know) to send your login/pw to a database at CUO and even with an associated Discord (email and other information they collect from linking) you could have a MAJOR issue.

Since Broadsword doesn't help with stuff like this, ie. stolen accounts item recovery, I'm quite skeptical about using the new web client. I think it would be a very good idea to have this client hosted on the UO.com domain... when it's up, anyways.

I think we need some sort of reassurance here on the relationship @Kyronix @Community Manager

Also, Discord is banned in my country, so I guess I'm SOL on accessing this client?

Not sure if this helps but according to one of the CUO admins, the code has been thoroughly reviewed for safety. Now it's a matter of trusting the UO devs ability to thoroughly review code.

Personally, I'd trust it more than I trust UO Assist or this forum.
