Question about a ring

I am working on my Sampire's necromancy skill. Currently it is at 65, and I purchased a ring with "Necromancy +15" on it. When I equip the ring, my Necromancy does not go to 80 as I would expect.
Does anyone know why this would not work?

is it locked ? do you have show modified checked if using EC?

Not sure. I am using EC, how do I change it?

Ah I see it, yeah it was not showing modified. I feel stupid now! LOL

I like the subject title... about a ring. What ring, I asked myself then I click the header. It reminds of Lord of the Ring.
