Scuttled Ships
Question
If you scuttle a ship during PvP in Felucca can a ship become completely irreparable? A total loss? Or can you always limp back to shore and repair it?
Answer
Parallax: You will always be able to apply emergency repairs to a scuttled ship in an attempt to limp back to shore.
Animal Statue Luck
Question
Does Luck influence stats when "popping" special pets like Umbrascale pets or tritons?
Answer
Parallax: Luck does not play a factor in determining the stats of pets that are created from various pet statues.
Pets With Healing
Question
Can a tamed and trained Cu Sidhe resurrect you? And I noticed my Cu does not always heal me. Does it have to be in "guarding" mode to heal, or is there another reason?
Answer
Parallax: Tamed pets with the Healing skill cannot resurrect their owners.
Pets with Healing will attempt to periodically heal their owner every ~5 seconds as long as:
- The owner is within range,
- The owner can be seen,
- The owner is below 80% health, and
- The pet is not healing themselves.
If a pet successfully heals its owner, it cannot attempt to heal again for ~30 seconds.
Skill Gains
Question
I've heard various takes on this. How exactly does total skill cap affect skill gain, if at all? For example, is it easier to raise skills at 240 skill cap versus 720? Secondary question, if it does affect it, is it based off of total skills + bonuses or the real total skills?
Answer
Kyronix: Skill gain is independent of total skill cap. It is determined by the individual skill's current level — meaning it's more difficult to gain skill at higher levels (100.0+) than it is at lower levels (e.g. 20.0).
It is not based on the overall cap, nor is it influenced by total bonuses.
